Cambodia, Kep – The Boat House

We were very pleased with our accommodation location in Kep as it was close to both the beach and the famous crab markets. We booked The Boat House via and it was comfortable enough for our five night stay.

The French host was very helpful and was always willing to offer any assistance or answer any questions we had. The property is very large with many different accommodation options and areas to relax amongst the greenery. The common area has a pool table, a few games, restaurant and bar. We only ate at the property once but all our meals were well-sized and very tasty. The Boat House_Kep_Cambodia_1We booked the ‘family suite’ which was two separate bedrooms with a separate bathroom which was all enclosed by two sliding, lockable gated doors. One bedroom had two double beds and was quite spacious and the other was a lot smaller with one double bed. The bed mattresses were foam and very soft, linen and towels were of moderate quality. The bedrooms had a wall mounted fan each, mosquito nets and windows with bug screens. The bathroom was a little dated but all relevant to price. The Boat House_Kep_Cambodia_2We made the most of the location and had many meals at the crab markets and down by the beach, particularly at the restaurant at Chan Vanna Guesthouse.
