Another Airbnb apartment for us, this one was on Hong Kong Island, to try to keep costs down but it was still a lot to spend on accommodation for our budget. The host had fast and helpful communication and was very generous, always offering to help or supply items if we needed anything further.
Two bedrooms both with double beds and air conditioning/cooling units. The main bedroom also has a small table & chairs, the curtains are light fabric though and didn’t cover the windows fully. The second bedroom didn’t have any windows as this looks to have originally been a one bedroom apartment but a couple of thin walls have been put up to create a second bedroom. The small bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. Kitchen is compact and had a few pieces of cutlery and crockery, microwave, small oven/grill, large refrigerator with freezer, washing machine and a small, wall mounted bench and two stools to eat at. There are drying racks and lots of clothes hangers for drying clothes. The apartment is small but with good amenities, lots of toiletries were supplied and the Wi-Fi was good.
We found it a really good location, easy to get around HK Island and lots to do. We really enjoyed this part of the city and you can easily get to the mainland/Kowloon via cheap ferry. There are plenty of convenience stores, supermarkets and eateries close by.
From the airport we took the A11 bus which was a flat fare of $40 HK/adult and $20 HK/child (3-11 yrs) and dropped us 300m from the apartment. The apartment building was easy to find and self check-in was no problem. Close to numerous bus stops and the iconic HK ding ding trams which we used often. The Wan Chai subway station isn’t too far away either.
