We had seen the Atlantis Condo Resort in Pattaya, and it’s pirate ship swimming pool, before we had even left New Zealand. Previous accommodation searches on Airbnb had resulted in seeing some two bedroom apartments within this complex. So when we had a few days to fill in before meeting up with extended family in Pattaya we decided to book a few nights here so we could relax and the boys could enjoy the facilities.
We only had three nights so we looked around further and found a cheaper one bedroom apartment via booking.com.
The space was compact and the boys slept on the fold out couch but for just three nights it was fine and the apartment was clean and comfortable with nice furnishings. After a small breakdown in communication when we first arrived to check-in, the host was very apologetic and helpful during our stay. The wi-fi was good, the kitchen quite well stocked with utensils, air conditioning units in the main area and the bedroom and a separate shower with good water pressure and temperature. The swimming pool complex was large and very cool for children. There is a large pirate ship, some waterfalls, a water slide and a small water playground, as well as a few jacuzzi spots if adults wish for some quiet time. Unfortunately it was winter time in Thailand and while the temperatures are still reasonably warm, a cool wind during our stay did make large amounts of time in the pool a little harder than we had hoped but we still had a great time at this complex and location.Atlantis is close to many amenities, local restaurants, food stalls/carts and the quieter Jomtien Beach, rather than the very tourist orientated main Pattaya Beach.
