We wanted to visit the Cliffs of Moher and stay the night in the area. The closest village is Doolin and there aren’t too many accommodation options, especially in the low end price point. And while it wasn’t exactly summer weather, the summer prices had started in early July.
We found Nagles Camping and Caravan Park, just 8 kms from the cliffs and with some stunning views back towards them.We booked a ‘glamping pod‘, we certainly aren’t seasoned campers but for one night this was do-able. The pod has a double bed & fold out sofa bed plus a small kitchenette area with small refrigerator/freezer, a kettle, cutlery, plates, bowls & cups. There is also a toilet with sink that runs along the back of the pod and two camping chairs are also supplied. The website states that linen is only provided for the double bed but after an email explaining our travelling situation they kindly provided us with some sleeping bags for the boys. The camping site has a very clean communal kitchen, shower, toilet and laundry blocks.
They have a small shop on site but it is limited in selection and expensive (as you would imagine), so come prepared with supplies.
