For our week in London we wanted to be as close as possible to our friends who lived in West Dulwich and public transport. We found a reasonably priced second floor, two bedroom apartment on Airbnb.
The first entry area had a strange odour but thankfully it didn’t continue upstairs. The kitchen/living/dining space is a nice open space with lots of natural light. The TV wasn’t in the apartment even though it is in the listing. Wi-Fi was good.
Kitchen and pantry was well stocked with cooking essentials, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. Refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. One larger bedroom with large comfortable bed and one smaller bedroom with another double bed. Darker drapes would have been good and that covered the windows completely. Bathroom was a good size with shower over the bath, sink and toilet. Only two towels were provided but after contacting the host he quickly supplied us two more.Washing machine available and a drying rack which dried our clothes well as the living area got lots of sun during the day.
Good selection of village shops, including a grocer just a few minutes away. Bigger supermarkets and the Peckham Rye train station an easy 6-7 minute walk away.
Overall a great space and we found it a good location outside of central London with easy connections on public transport.
- Village Grocer and selection of shops – 130m
- Peckham Rye Train Station – 500m
- ASDA Supermarket – 550m
We walked and used public transport and it was very easy to get around London, especially with an Oyster card. Purchase one and load with money, you’ll get cheaper rides rather than purchasing tickets each time.
Price = $161.05 NZD per night (included weekly discount, cleaning fee and Airbnb service fees)
