After some reasonably short stays in the last few locations we decided to stay two weeks in Hồ Chí Minh City. We found a very nice two bedroom apartment in the Riva Park Apartment complex via Airbnb.
We were located in District 4, near the confluence of the Tẻ Channel and the Saigon River and with a 10th floor apartment with a balcony we had a nice view across the city towards District 7. This is a very new apartment building was a small playground and very nice swimming pool within the complex. The roof of this 18 floor building was a great spot to watch the Vietnamese New Year fireworks. The apartment is a very good size with lots of natural light, morning sun into the lounge and bedrooms and open plan kitchen, dining and lounge. Very comfortable furnishings with smart TV and great Wi-Fi. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and separate laundry with washing machine and dryer and the ability to dry clothes outside on the balcony. The main bedroom was a very large space with large bed, desk and chair, wardrobe, day bed and ensuite. The second bedroom had two x king single beds and wardrobe. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen and towels and both the bedrooms and the sitting area had air conditioning units. The bathrooms were well designed with separate, enclosed showers, along with toilet and hand basin. The kitchen has a nice new fridge, microwave/convection oven, 3 hob glass cooktop, kettle and rice cooker. There was a reasonable level of crockery and cutlery but a few more cooking utensils and pots would be helpful. While we weren’t close to a lot of local food options, we found a couple of good little stalls doing great noodle soups and people selling fresh fruits, vegetables and some meats down the lane near the apartment.
